Baroque in every sense 2024

If last year the female figure was the background of the event, the male figure was chosen for the third edition of Baroque in every sense!

4 SEPTEMBER 2024 - We know that men...: The inauguration is entrusted to the special participation of Giovanni Caccamo who, together with Extravocalia, an ensemble of voices only, will propose an experimentation which sees the contamination between musical genres, as well as independently propose their specific repertoire. Their music will inspire the painter Giovanni Robustelli who will produce one of his canvases during the performance.

6 SEPTEMBER 2024 - Father and sons: On the second evening the Festival opens up to international artists: the Valletta Baroque Ensemble of Malta offers a musical journey on J. S. Bach and some of his composer sons; furthermore, they will be accompanied by the engaging stories of I Sonnambuli, the famous literary duo of Fabio Manenti and Michele Arezzo.

8 SEPTEMBER 2024 - Pergolesi, The servant mistress: The opera arrives at our Festival! The final event on 8 September sees the return of the prestigious Ensemble Strumentale di Roma who will perform «La servi padrona» by G. B. Pergolesi together with the esteemed soprano Minni Diodati and the famous baritone Roberto Abbondanza.
