With the shattered form, the real and definitive shattering of the form occurs, on the border between painting and sculpture. Destroying to recompose is the most difficult undertaking but Fratantonio has let himself be guided by the matter itself, following the splinter as a signifier of the whole.
The visitor will be able to enter these mirrors and see his own image broken down, shattered, interrupted, feeling disturbed by it. A re-enactment of an ancient myth, that of Narcissus, in a mixture of symbols that each mirror carries with it, starting with the mirror that Snow White's queen shatters with the anger of someone who knows that the moment of truth has arrived. Even Narcissus shatters the mirror in an act of extreme awareness, he looks at himself but does not recognize himself in the tragedy of his solitude.
It can be visited at the Galleria del Centro Commerciale Culturale (via Matteotti 61), Ragusa, every day from 9 May to 3 June from 9:00 to 12:30 and from 16:00 to 20:30.
