"The Ragusaner" is a collective artistic project born in April 2024 thanks to Elisea Paolino, Virginia Boncoraglio and Sara Cigna, professionals in the fields of art, graphics, installations and digital. The project draws inspiration from the international format "The Parisianer", in turn inspired by the famous magazine "The New Yorker", which describes cities through imaginary magazines and artistic works. In the same spirit, "The Ragusaner" explores the soul of the province of Ragusa, uniting local artists and creatives inspired by the territory.
Every week, a cover dedicated to characteristic places or aspects is published on social media, promoting art as a tool to enhance the cultural and landscape heritage of the Ibleans. To celebrate the first year of activity, "The Ragusaner" organizes the Winter Party, scheduled for Friday 27 December 2024, from 7.00 pm, at the suggestive Palazzo Cosentini in Ragusa Ibla. The event will be an opportunity to meet the artists who contributed to the project, through a dedicated talk, with stories ranging from those who left the province to those who returned or never abandoned it.
It will also be possible to visit the exhibition of covers created during the year, collected in a special exhibition. Entrance is free, and the exhibition will also remain open to visitors on the following weekend: 27-28-29 December and 3-4-5 January, thanks to the volunteers of the ProLoco of the province of Ragusa.
There will be no shortage of convivial and sharing moments, with a wine area curated by the Strada del Vino del Cerasuolo di Vittoria and a food area with local gastronomic specialties thanks to the collaboration with Panificio Ecce Homo by Re Giorgio, partner of the event, and a Vinyl set curated by Terra Matta to close the evening with music.
