The new development paradigm today known as "rurbanization" will be presented, which is based on the assumption of continuity/interfunctionality between the urban environment and the rural environment: a lived-in, anthropized countryside that experiments with process innovation and a city that has not lost neither from the economic point of view, nor from the social and cultural point of view, is its intimate connection with the rural universe. The presentation of the “Ragusa rurban city” report will be curated by Marco La Bella of the University of Catania, president of Iriloc.
It is a question of implementing, together with all the economic and social actors in Ragusa, development actions that use both regional, national and above all European promotion and internationalization tools and which can bring significant economic resources back to our territory.
The working day will be divided into two sessions:
- the morning will see the speeches of the speakers
- In the afternoon, the program includes two round tables: the first on "society and rurbanisation", the second on "businesses and rurbanisation"
- Finally, the "Ragusa Enterprise Award" awards ceremony will be held.
