As many as 175 companies are mentioned within it, 1,015 wines are reviewed, 65 are worthy of the "Four Trisceles", of which 15 are recognized as "Pigne". These are the big numbers that will be told next Saturday 25 January from 10am to 7pm during the presentation of the sixth edition of the Sicilian Wine Guide 2025 at the Poggio Del Sole hotel in Ragusa.
The program, assorted and interesting, includes something new this year: two additional appendices that will accompany the key day of Saturday 26 January. In fact, on Friday 24th and Sunday 26th January, three masterclasses are scheduled in three Ragusa wineries and will have the Iblean territory as their theme.
- Friday 24th at 5pm in Vittoria, at the Arianna Occhipinti farm, "The different expressions of Vittoria's Frappato", while at 7pm, at the Gurrieri winery in Chiaramonte Gulfi, "The Bubbles of the Iblean territory".
- On Sunday 26th, however, at 11am it will be the turn of the Cantina Gulfi of Chiaramonte Gulfi with the focus on "The Whites of the Iblean Territory".
The central program on Saturday 25th, however, includes the entire event at the Poggio Del Sole hotel with the opening of the companies' tasting tables set for 10am.
- At 10.30 the opening conference themed "Present and future of Cerasuolo di Vittoria" will take place in the Sala Tramontana, while the Sala Libeccio will host the first masterclass at 12 "The territories of Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG".
- The second is scheduled for 3pm in Sala Tramontana and will be "Gems of Vitae: journey through Campania, Puglia, Basilicata, Calabria and Sicily".
- For the third and final masterclass we return at 4.30 pm in Sala Libeccio with "'Relic' vines, Sicilian wines to be rediscovered".
- The tasting stands at the Poggio Del Sole hotel will close at 7pm.
- At 7.30 pm we will move to the church of San Vincenzo Ferreri near Ragusa Ibla for the award ceremony and presentation of the AIS "Four Screws" certificates.
